This Republican administration, supported though it may be by industries accused of dumping waste into our rivers, must not be permitted to lead in negative directions, destroying the environment, imprisoning people for terms of inordinate length with no rehabilatative programs to support reform, eroding public school education while supporting for profit schools which are not required to meet standards.
We need Sue Scheer. We need other democratic candidates Who practice real democracy.
John Henry Woodward has been a good Sheriff, tough enough on criminals, but not harsh. He has modernized the office and utilized his funds wisely. There are alternatives within present laws and sentences for dealing with violators without spending tax money for more and more costly punishments or unnecessary staff, patrols, or equipment.

Thank you to all who sponsored the School Board Candidate Forum.
Knowing very little about the Wakefield District candidates, I attended the well organized forum on Tuesday evening with an open mind. I walked away with no doubt that Ellen Manson will receive my vote in November. I was impressed with her intelligent and articulate answers. I was most impressed with her ability to listen to the question asked and give a specific answer.
Clear communication is extremely important and the ability to listen is an absolute necessity in a School Board member. 1 enthusiastically support Ellen Manson and am encouraging all of my Wakefield District neighbors to do the same.
