Last Friday, Roger Lee Hitt, 37, of Castleton, fell asleep at the wheel of' his 1989 Chevy pickup and ran off the road on Route 642 in Amissville. The accident occurred 1.2 miles south of Route 611. According to State Trooper Mike Woodard, Mr. Hitt was not injured except for a small cut, but the truck sustained $3,000 damage. Mr. Hitt was charged with reckless driving.
