Eighty-eight gifted students who will be entering the middle school grades (sixth through eighth) in Rappahannock, Culpeper, Madison and Fauquier counties have all been a part of SummerQuest, the regional governor’s school hosted by Rappahannock County High School, and focusing on the mountains this week and last.
This is the second year the program has been at RCHS and the eighth year overall.
Before the first SummerQuest there was a summer program for older students organized by RCHS English teacher Jon Heddleston focusing on the mountains. Over the years the program was one of several offerings in the regional governor’s school with the rest of the classes at Culpeper County Junior High School.
