the district only Brentsville plays spring soccer. In the Shenandoah Distript Central and Clarke will continue to field teams and Stonewall Jackson is adding a team this year. “We would like to get Madison also,” Mr. Tupper said.
Schedules for baseball and softball are shaping up in the same way that basketball and volleyball schedules did. Junior varsity baseball and softball are new spring sports, and Mr. Tupper does not anticipate having difficulty scheduling them.
“It’s not the nightmare I thought it was going to be,” he said. “Everybody still wanted to play us, but it will mean we are playing a lot of games that don’t mean anything [in terms of district standing],” he said.
He is looking forward to a good year in high school sports.
