The Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society will host a luncheon and silent auction at Chesley, the home of the Honorable and Mrs. Frederick E. Hart from 11 a'.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19.
Mr. Hart is the well known sculptor who created the Three Soldiers Sculpture at the Vietnam Memorial and the carved portals at the Washington National Cathedral.
The Harts halve graciously offered to open their home, for this year’s event. Chesley was built in 1987 on J35 acres of open farm land and foiling hills nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the •Piedmont region of Virginia in northwestern Fauquier County.
