High school Athletic Director Mike Tupper is not having as much difficulty developing schedules for the sports teams as he feared when he learned last summer that RCHS would be going into a district with cjnly three other teams. . He said Luray, Page, Stonewall Jackson and Strasburg, all schools in the new Shenandoah District, are interested in scheduling games with Rappahannock because the county’s fans generally show up and swell the gate receipts. Those schools are closer than George Mason, Brentsville and Manassas Park, the three other schools in the new Bull Run District with Rappahannock, and besides the local rivalries go back to the days of the old Skyline District, he said.
