4-H All Stars
Two 4-H teen members and one 4-H adult leader were honored as new members of the Virginia Chapter of 4-H All Stars at their statewide conference held July 20-21 at Smith Mountain Lake 4-H Center near Roanoke.
Receiving certificates and pins at the banquet on Saturday evening were Scott Updike and Mary Beth Williams and Mrs. Toni Updike, a 4H leader, who was chosen an honorary All Star.
The Virginia Chapter of 4-H All Stars is an honor and service organization recognizing 4-H teen members for outstanding achievements. Both Scott and Mary Beth are members of the 4-H Livestock Club and Mrs. Updike is a volunteer leader for the 4H Livestock Club.
Others who participated from Rappahannock County were Mr. and. Mrs. Tommy Williams, parents; Helen W. Smith, Extension Agentr and David Smith.
