The Harts’ home is testimony to the great tradition of European country homes, strongly influenced by Mr. Hart’s love for eighteenth-century Russian art and architecture. The estate is itself a work of classical art in evolution. Sweeping vistas and colonnaded porches lead to a richly ornamented interior, complete, with plaster work gilded and polychromed in the old world tradition.
This year’s luncheon and silent auction will also feature collections from Sandra Woodward and SW Design Studio. Sandrals work has been sho>Vn at Nordstrom’s and BonWit Teller among others. Her unique work features Roman and Greek coins and gemstones. The jewelry is unique, timeless and very versatile. A children’s line of jewelry, Bebe Bijoux, will also be shown and includes rings, necklaces, and bracelets. A percentage of all of the jewelry sales will benefit the American Cancer Society.
The afternoon event promises to be delightful and entertaining, and all proceeds are to benefit the Rappahannock unit of the American Cancer Society. Coordinator Paige
