Field Day Set
Summer Forage Field Day will be held 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, Aug. 16 at Manor Farm near Sperryville. Lunch will be sponsored by Rappahannock Farmers’ Association.
Manor Farm is located two miles west of the Rappahannock Farmers Coop on Route 211, left turn on service road or 1.5 miles east of the Sperryville Exxon Station on Route 211, turn right on the service road Indigo Lane follow the Virginia Cooperative Extension signs.
For reservations, call the Rappahannock Extension Office at 6753619 by Aug. 13. The event is coordinated and sponsored by the Rappahannock Farmers’ Association, Virginia Cooperative Extension, and the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
Depression Support Group To Meet
Warren Memorial Hospital’s Depression Support Group meets the second and, fourth Thursdays of each month in Room 222 in the Education Department on the hospital’s second floor. Ann Bunts, Exercises for Seniors at 1.1:30 a.m. on Aug. 14; Flood Pressure Check by Melinda Beach at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 21 and Program on recognizing Substance Abuse and Steps to Recovery at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 28.

Benefit Planned
Gymkhana will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17 at Indian Run Farm. All levels are welcome, lead line to adult. Hard hats are required. The event will benefit the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Company. The class fee is $5. For information call Sherry Hamill-Huff at 675-3848.
LFCC Class at High School
An Introduction to Microcomputer Software (1ST 117) class will be offered by Lord Fairfax Community College at the Rappahannock County High School. The four credit class will be held on Thursdays, beginning Aug. 22 from 5:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. The cost of the class is $186.60 plus an additional charge for textbooks.

Support Group To Meet
Hospice of the Rapidan and Family Care Home Health and Hospice offer a free bereavement support group for anyone who has lost a loved one prior to April 1996. The group will meet 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Wednesday through Aug. 21 at 1200 Sunset Lane, Suite 2320 of the Mulberry Commons office park in Culpeper.
