The Mummies’ performances are generally theatrical and festive events combining an unusual mix of music, fashion and comedy. The band’s “one world” vision permeates their music and their concerts with a cheerful blend of props, ideas, instruments and lively music from nearly everywhere on earth.
Andrew Roblin plays the banjo, sings and is generally known for talent and genial performances. Minnie* Pearl said he was “good enough for the Grand Ole Oprey.” He performs solo on banjo, guitar, mandolin, hammered dulcimer and jaw harp with engaging songs and stories from the American and Canadian folk-bluegrass traditions.
Add to this the Pocono Mountain Men, with Rick Starkey on guitar and vocals and Scott Eager on mandolin and vocals, for a more contemporary .bluegrass sound.
This is the final concert in the season for Culpeper and Luray. The Warrenton concerts will continue for two more weeks.
