The Board decided to hold on the public hearing on the zoning conservation chapter amendments being proposed by the Planning Commission because they felt the county budget would be enough to deal with next month. The Hurricane Fran Flood Work is all finished and balanced out dead.even said Mr. McCarthy.
The county budget work session is scheduled for May 20 at 7 p.m. and the public hearing will be June 2.
Admiral Josef M. Gardiner’s request for a withdrawal of 25 acres from the East Wakefield Agricultural and Forestal District was approved.
The supplemental appropriations funds were approved and there was discussion on ■ resolving the Rappahannock-Warren and Rappahannock-Fauquier boundaries. They want to start a process to resolve the issue since there is a question of liability involved. It mainly affects the Chester Gap area of Rappahannock. They approved a motion to set up a meeting in the fall on the issue in the Chester Gap area.
Dr. Werner Krebser, whose term expired May 1, was reappointed to the Planning Commission. All members of the Local Board of Building Code Appeals were reappointed: Bill Anderson, Everett J. Estes Sr., Peter Kreyling, Jon B. Morgan, Thomas G. Taylor and Thomas Tepper.
The Extension Quarterly Report was noted and accounts approved.
