Virginia H. Pennington, 72, of Washington died on Monday, May 5 at the Hermitage in Richmond.
She was bom on July 2, 1924 in Corapeake, North Carolina.
Mrs. Pennington retired from the National Bureau of Standards after 25 years of service in 1968.
She was active with the Rappahannock Garden Club and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Her husband, Andrew M. Pennington Sr. preceded her in death on June 8, 1996.
