Charles Embrey
Charles Walter “Chubby” Embrey, age 55, of Flint Hill, died Tuesday, April 29 in Fairfax Hospital.
Mr. Embrey was bom on Oct. 12, 1941, in Upperville, the son of Fannie Buckley Ballenger of Bealeton and the late Earl Marshall Embrey.
He was a farm manager for the Windsor Lodge, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie and had served in the United States Air Force.
Surviving with his mother are three daughters, Marlisa Embrey and Dianna Broyles, both of Winchester and Christina Rasmussen of Front Royal; two granddaughters; two sisters, Alice Caylor of Flint Hill and Ruth White of Bealeton and three brothers, Allan Embrey of Capitol Heights, Md., Earl Embrey of Rogue River, Oreg. and Brooke Embrey of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, May 2 at Omps Funeral Home with the Rev. James Earley, II officiating.
Interment was in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County.
Pallbearers were Clark Rasmussen, Anthony Embrey, Jack Embrey, Paul Embrey, Matthew Embrey, James Lawson, Alton White and William Keefer, Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Flint Hill Fire and Rescue.
Omps Funeral Home in Winchester was in charge of the arrangements.
