in shackles or handcuffs, would be eliminated.
Mr. Moody was transported from a jail in Arlington County the morning of the trial, said Major Rick MacWelch of the Sheriff’s Office. He became belligerent and would not obey requests during the transport. While being held in a visiting room at the jail, he was kicking walls, and when later put in a holding cell downstairs, he stuffed a blanket in the toilet and flooded the downstairs, said Major MacWelch.
After Sheriff’s Office personnel talked with Mr. Moody and calmed him down, there were no further problems. He wore leg shackles in the courtroom for security reasons.
Mr. Moody is set for sentencing on May 16.
