April 30. Major MacWelch said the items may be linked to some burglaries in he Flint Hill area.
No injuries were reported following an accident near Route 1001 in Sperry ville last Friday morning. . Barbara L. Reid, 62, of Castleton, was charged with failing to yield the right of way. Her 1994 Lincoln was struck by a 1994 Ford driven by Edna H. Metzinger, 70, of Sperry ville. Mrs. Metzinger’s car then struck a highway sign, landscape timbers and broke a cable line. Va. State Trooper C.A. Moore investigated the accident.
Mrs. Reid’s car had $ 1700 damage and Mrs. Metzinger’s had $3000.
A 16-year-old male from Washington was charged by Trooper Sumner with reckless driving following an accident on Route 622, 2 miles south of U.S. 211, on Saturday afternoon.
The accident report said that the driver ran off the road to the right, overcorrected to the left, came back to the right and hit a fence. The vehicle had $5000 damage. He was not injured.
