Over the last several weeks many larceny investigations have been drawing to a close, according to Major Rick MacWelch of the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office.
Several items, including a chainsaw and an expensive nail gun that had been reported stolen in the county, have been located and recovered from pawn shops in Fauquier, Prince William and Warren Counties.
The Sheriff’s Office had a tip that a large amount of stolen property from numerous counties were dumped in the Huntly dumpster recently. These items included VCR’s, televisions, and possibly some weapons and safes. So far, two people have been found that had removed items from the dumpster and turned them in. If anyone has taken any. of these items, or has seen anyone take any, please notify the Sheriff’s Office at 675-3331 because they may be stolen property.
