Yard, Plant Sale at Wakefield i
, There will be a yard sale and plant sale at Wakefield Country Day ! School on Saturday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. There will be some- ' thing for everyone, baked goods, yard sale “stuff’, beautiful spring plants and refreshments. Yoga Classes at New Center
A five week beginners yoga course will start Thursday, May 8 at 7 p.m. and continue through Thursday, June 5 at the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center in Sperryville. Open yoga classes for experienced students are offered at the center Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. and Wednesdays at 5 p.m. AH classes emphasize breathing, stretching and relaxation. Joint Auction Planned
Bill Payne and family will conduct a joint auction for The Rappahannock Athletic Association and the Amissville Ruritan Club on May 17. There will be a silent auction in the early afternoon and live auction in the late aftemoon/early evening. A baseball tournament will be held that day with teams from Orange. BBQ burgers and hotdogs will be served all day. Auction benefits the Community Building at the Ruritan Grounds and the RAA. Teen Leaders Needed
4-H Teens and/or Teen Counselors interested in being a teen leader at the Rappahannock County 4-H Day Camp the week of June 23-27, 1997 at the 4-H Educational Center in Front Royal should call the Extension Office at 675-3619. The age for Teen Counselors is 13 through 19.
A.VF.D. Carnival Set
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will have its annual Firemen’s Carnival June 25 through June 28. The parade will be held on Thursday, June 26. Those interested in entering should contact J.B. Carter at 937-4218.
Beekeepers To Meet
The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold its May meeting at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 15 at the Culpeper Cooperative Extension Service building at the comer of Davis Street and South West Street, Culpeper. Benefit Auction Planned

Walk-a-thon Planned
The Leadership and Process Management class is sponsoring a walka-thon on Saturday, May 17 at 10 a.m. Registration will be in Flint Hill at the F&M Bank. This event will be held on the Fodderstack Road, 6.2 miles. The registration fee will be $10. This is not a race; walk at your own pace. All money raised will be donated to Hospice of the Rapidan. Money will be used for the care of Hospice patients of Rappahannock County. If you have any questions concerning this event, call 987-8587 and ask for Tiffany. .
Yoga, Drumming Programs Set
Beginning this Friday, May 9, and repeating the second and fourth Fridays of every month, Rappahannock Healing Arts Center in Sperryville will offer two new evening programs for people of all ages. A mini Yoga Satsang (gathering) from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. will include breathing exercises (pronayama), meditation and chanting (Kirtan). Wear comfortable clothing and bring a sitting pillow if you wish. A sacred drumming session will begin at 7:45, emphasizing inner and group listening. Bring a drum or percussion items. Both programs will be facilitated by Iva Ussach, drummer and certified Yoga teacher. No registration necessary. Call 9878872 for details.
Horse Show Planned
Moody’s Training and Riding Center will be offering a schooling horse show at 11 a.m. on May 24. Classes for all ages. For more information contact Moody Ay lor at 987-8215.
