Lucy Hitt

Lucy Smith Hitt, 65, of Amissville, died on Wednesday, April 30 at Culpeper Health Care.

She was bom in Amissville on April 27, 1932.

Her parents were the late Charles Amps Smith and Bertha Doflemeyer Smith.

Her husband was the late Floyd B. Hitt.

She is survived by her sons, Floyd Daniel Hitt of Sperryville, David Shelton Hitt of Amissville, Matthew Dean Hitt of Sperryville and Donald Gregory Hitt of Amissville.

She was the sister of Andrew Smith of Leesburg, Jesse Miller Clark of Herndon and Beatrice Schurtz of Springfield.

Also surviving are five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 4 at Forrest Grove Church in Viewtown with the Rev. Lindsay Savage and the Rev. Richard Woodard officiating.

Interment was in Forrest Grove Cemetery.
