Rappahannock collected three more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the score 17-1, George Mason failed to score in the fifth and lost by the slaughter rule.
The Lady Panthers ended their season going 2 and six in the district. They face Manassas Park next Tuesday in the district tournament.
“We are definitely ready for the tournament next week. Our pitching is looking great and our offense is scoring a lot of runs. If we play up to our potential we are going to be extremely hard to beat,” said Payne.
