Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue’s carnival is scheduled to begin June 25, not the 23rd as previously reported. The parade will be held on Thursday, June 26, at 7 p.m. Contact J.B. Carter at 937-4218 for information on entering the parade.
It was so good to see Dolly Melbourne and Louise Smith in church Sunday for Mother’s Day. It was also the last day for Rev. and Mrs. Small to attend Amissville Baptist Church and they will be missed.
Special thanks to the person who corrected me on the spelling of Godspeed. Although I would never profess to be a journalist, I have found a good dictionary does not help unless it’s used.
