The shops sell all manner of hand made crafts, jewelry, clothes (period of course), glass, pewter, hand-thrown pottery, custom footwear, leather clothing. Armour and weaponry, wood works (including toys), wax hands and candles, sculptures, porcelain dolls, masks, juggling balls and sticks, and hats, hats and more hats. My son picked out a pair of horns, hand crafted of pottery clay and fired, attached to a string which lies around the head, under the hair, and look like centaur type horns. He has not let a day go by since that he doesn’t wear them.
There are nearly 100 artisans and merchants at the Faire.
To top it off, the food is great too!
So take a little trip. Call (800) 52FAIRE for information and ticket prices. But hurry, the Faire is only open until June 8 and only on weekends. (That includes Memorial Day weekend.) It’s open from 10 a.m, to 7 p.m. each day, rain or shine.
