On April 26th the U-14 team

On April 26th the U-14 team valiantly played against Fauquier 3 but lost 0-8 possibly because many of the Rappahannock players were absent from the game. On May 5th, the team lost 1-6, although scoring an exciting goal in the last 60 seconds. Coach Lorinda Bosch confirmed that all the players, especially those who are just beginning to play soccer, are performing very well against more experienced teams.

The U-12 team played Fauquier 4 on May 3 with a tie of 1-1. During the second half of a high-energy game, the team used exceptionally good passing skills according to Referee Colin Bosch. The May 10th game was a tie with a score of 3-3. The whole team played extremely well in the wind and cold. Harris Evans and Max Parrish were the scorers and had assistance from Ton Starks and Robin Pamick.

The U-10 teams played the Culpeper Boomers Saturday, May 3rd under the huge lights at Comet Stadium in Culpeper and unfortunately lost 0-5. However, Coach Linda Torrence remarked that the combined U-10 teams put on a good show and were having fun against an experienced and aggressive team. The team won 4-2 against Culpeper on May 10th when the team, “came together beautifully,’^ according to Linda Torrence. Scorers of the game were Dustin and Umberto. She encourages all the parents to come out and support the team.

On April 27 the U-8 teams played in a scrimmage against each other and ended it a tie. On May 3rd Rob Parrish’s U-8 team won 3-2 and on May 10th they won 1-0. Tom Pendleton described both teams as strong competitors.

For the last two weeks, the U-6 teams have competed against each other. Coach Mark Pace reported that they are working on left-footed skills.

The scores are going up for Rappahannock and the coaches complimented the children on good sportsmanship.
