Rappahannock’s favorite friend (or should we say bloke) from down under was her last week for a short walk-about.
Tex Banes, the unofficial ambassador of good will from Australia, was visiting with Dick and Ginny Pierson before continuing on to Atlanta, Ga., to speak to kids in schools there.
Tex has been in Rappahannock 10 times in as many years and has performed and given talks about his homeland to Rappahannock students and at area churches in the past.
