Forum Set at Trinity
The Rev. Dr. Charles Harris will speak at a forum on the Dead Sea Scrolls on Sunday, May 18 at 1 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church. Dr. Harris is President of the Cyprus American Artheological Institute which oversees work on the Dead Sea Scrolls. Bring a bag lunch and join the group at 12:30 or come for the program at 1 p.m. All are invited to attend. Booster Club To Meet
The Rappahannock Booster Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 19 at the Rappahannock High School library.
Concert at RCHS
There will be a Spring Band Concert at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21 in the high school auditorium. The elementary and high school bands will be performing.
Beekeepers To Meet
The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold its May meeting at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 15 at the Culpeper Cooperative Extension Service building at the comer of Davis Street and South West Street, Culpeper. Advisory Council To Meet
The Special Education Advisory Council of the Rappahannock County Public Schools will hold its last meeting of the 1996-97 school year on Thursday, May 29 at 3:30 p.m. at the elementary school. The program will feature a talk by Glenda Shorn, Regional Coordinator of Family Preservation Services. The public is welcome. The Advisory Council is chaired by Sherri Hamill-Huff.
Yoga, Drumming Programs Set
Beginning this Friday, May 9, and repeating the second and fourth Fridays of every month, Rappahannock Healing Arts Center in Sperryville will offer two new evening programs for people of all ages. A mini Yoga Satsang (gathering) from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. will include breathing exercises (pronayama), meditation and chanting (Kirtan). Wear comfortable clothing and bring a sitting pillow if you wish. A sacred drumming session will begin at 7:45, emphasizing inner and group listening. Bring a drum or percussion items. Both programs will be facilitated by Iva Ussach, drummer and certified Yoga teacher. No registration necessary. Call 9878872 for details.
