Changing habits is not easy, as we all know. But if this first campaign has helped make people more aware of how rapidly our beautiful county is becoming a garbage pail, it can help those who care, and those who have been aware, to join together to wage constant guerrilla warfare on trash and trashers.
Th^se who have been to Vermont or Oregon know it is possible to maintain clean roadsides. It takes carrots and sticks, but most of all, a collective desire of the citizenry to respect nature and each other.
