National Volunteer Week is April 19-26 and I would like to thank the dedicated 4-H volunteers of Rappahannock County. We would not have the successful 4-H program we have now if it were not for their unselfish giving of their time and talents. Being involved in 4-H as an adult volunteer is very rewarding. This poem is for the Rappahannock County 4-H volunteers. Thank you for all you do.
There is a Heaven for Volunteers
Many of us will be shocked to find
When the day of judgment nears,
There’s a special place in heaven
Set aside for volunteers;
Furnished with big recliners,
Satin couches and foot
