The Rappahannock County Garden Club enjoyed Spring indoors at its April meeting. The room was full of color and the scent of lilacs with many exhibits in horticulture and a long array of artistic arrangements. The schedule for horticulture included tulips, daffodils, iris, and flowering branches and the blue ribbons for best specimens went to Mary Mochary, Beth DeBergh with two, and Mary Priest. The schedule for arrangements included two classes with blue ribbons going to Dottie Hooff, Betty Wood, and Beth Swindler. The exhibits were judged by Mr. Jim Bauman from The Designer’s Choice in Culpeper who critiqued his selections and offered helpful suggestions for members.
