The high school boys soccer team beat Strasburg by a whopping 9-4 on Monday afternoon.

Mike Letsen and Sean Torrance each had two goals and Jonathan Moore, Frank Paratore, Matt Wolfe, Josh DeMarr and John Switzer all had a goal each.

Coach Christy Sander said, “We had never played Strasburg before and didn’t know what to expect. Our whole team played very well overall.”

Strasburg got rough in the second half to the extent that two players were yellow carded (rotated out for a time but allowed to return) and one player was red carded — put out for the game and for their following game.

The boys team also beat William Monroe last week by a score of 6-0. Jonathan Moore and Mike Letsen each scored a “hat trick” (three goals each) in that game.

The girls soccer team is having a fantastic winning season.
