Activities for Ragged Mountain Resource Center include Friday, April 24: Water Monitory Training and Testing with Jay Gilliam of the Virginia Izaak Walton League, Thornton River, meet at Mountainside Market by 9:30 a.m. or at Turkey Mountain Outfitters on Mount Vernon Farm between io a.m. and 3 p.m.
Saturday, May 9: Second Saturday Series of Hikes to Rappahannock River Tributary Headwaters in Shenandoah National Park, meet at Mountainside Market on U.S. 211 west of Sperryville between 8:30 and 9 a.m., return mid-afternoon.
Friday, May 22: “Blue Ridge to the Bay" speaker series at Rappahannock Library, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., local Arborist and Forester Lyt Wood will discuss “Clear Cutting, Selective Cutting, No Cutting - Landowner Options".
