America have employees from all levels that are willing to pitch in when their help is needed.
On April 13, the new Faith Mountain store opened its doors to the public with wet paint and half of the rooms unfinished, but the half that was completed was breathtaking. “It never looked so good,” Eve Willis said, and she should know, she went to school there.
Faith Mountain employed her as a decorator to help transform the large formidable spaces into warmer, more intimate ones. She and her husband, Mayor J. Stewart Willis, of the Town of Washington, are well known county residents and she worked as an interior designer for many years.
Surprisingly, Martin, not Cheri, Woodard, played an active role in all the decisionmaking. He worked with architect Jay Monroe in selecting colors for the interior and exterior and assisted Willis by choosing fabrics and layouts for the interior.
“Martin wanted it to stay under-decorated, not elaborate, handsome and comfortable. He wanted a tailored look and chose mostly geometric patterns,” she said. Willis added that he wanted a schoolhouse feeling and so she placed children’s antique school desks throughout the store. She used a number of antique cup
