Medicine man offers teachings

This is a rare opportunity to listen to Anton Ponce de Leon talk to our community about Andean cosmology and Incan Sacred teachings. Born and raised in the town of Urubamba near Machu Pichu, Anton has dedicated his life to service and the dissemination of his culture’s legacy. A $20 donation is requested to help support the center where he and his wife raise the 28 children they adopted from the streets of Lima, Peru. The lecture runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center in Sperryville on Friday, May 8. For more information call 987-7204.

Directors meeting to be held

The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League will be holding a special meeting of the membership to elect the Board of Directors to be held Wednesday, April 29 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock Library.

Fashion show, luncheon planned

A period fashion show, Contributions of Southern Women in the Civil War with a luncheon followed by a walking tour of historic Fredericksburg will be held April 25. ECWplan flower mart trip

The Episcopal Church Women are planning a bus trip to the Flower Mart, an annual event at the Washington National Cathedral on Friday, May 1. The round trip fare is $15 and the bus will leave Trinity Episcopal Church parking lot in Washington at 8 a.m. and leave the Cathedral at 2:30 p.m. Call Joan Getsinger at 635-8114.
