Track team

holding their

own at meets

The Rappahannock County High School track team participated in a meet, the O.B. Calhoun Invitational, on April 18. Seventeen teams participated in the meet. Many of the teams were from AAA schools.

Rappahannock’s Adam Stark placed fourth in the 300 meter race. Several other members of the team also made semi-finals heats said coach Jim Rozsak. “The team did very well. I’m happy and pleased with their performance. They are really doing well considering everything — exceptionally well.”

The track team is under enormous disadvantage since the facilities here are less than optimum. But they still manage to hold their own.

They met Brentsville April 15 but the final results have still not been sent to Rozsak from that meet.

They meet Manassas Park Wednesday at 4 p.m. and Brentsville again on April 25, TBA. On April 29 they meet Luray at 4 p.m. All the meets are held away.
