Radiant in a spaghetti-strap sheath velvet gown of deep burgundy, Jennifer Thomas, a junior at Rappahannock County High School took home the honor of being named Miss Rappahannock 1998 Saturday night.
Thomas said last week had been a bad week for her but that it ended up very well.
She was sponsored by her mother, Sharon, and is the daughter of Sharon and Jim Thomas of Woodville.
First runner up was Erin Platt who wore a sheath dress of navy blue satin, which dipped low in back. She was sponsored by Reed Gillespie. And second runner up was Margo Elizabeth Haynes, who wore a black satin gown with a white lace collar, and was also named Miss Congeniality by her peers. She was sponsored by Gay Street Inn.
The Miss Rappahannock section of the program was sponsored by Blue Ridge Excavating.
