The second annual and very successful
Great Spring Garden Sale is now history, but the appreciation of the Trinity Church Garden Guild to all those who were so helpful in providing that success is definitely not.
Many people donated time, effort, and in the case of Eileen Day, property (her parking lot) to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Helpers included numerous people who were not members of the Garden Guild, nor even of the parish.
Teri Lehman of Goat Hill Farm was the principal organizer of the splendid and succulent produce tables.
Paige Coombs saw to it that, if the storm had come on Saturday rather than on Friday, everyone would have remained dry shod under the big tent.
All of our vendors did a bang-up job of offering many new, rare and unusual trees, shrubs and perennials. But none of this would have amounted to a hill of beans, much less of strawberries or wild morels, if we had not had the support of the community in buying the plants and produce.
