• The board scheduled a work session on the FY 2000 Budget for May 24 at 7 p.m. A public hearing on the budget has also been set for the next supervisors meeting, to be held on June 7.

• Amendments to the FY 1999 county* budget were unanimously approved.

Funding for the Comprehensive Services Act was revised to $108,149; salaries and wages for Commissioner of Revenue deputies is now set at $41,250; and the salary for the County Animal Warden was revised to $21,500.

• The board unanimously approved a resolution to extend Workers! Compensation coverage to members of county agencies and boards who travel as part of their work.

• Appointment of a successor for Planning Commission member Sharon Pierce was tabled until next month. Pierce — who has served on the commission for eight years and has been commission chair for the last two — resigned May 2.
