Basketball camp at RCHS
The third annual Rappahannock Basketball Camp will be held June 14-17 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Rappahannock County High School. During the week the players will participate in: Offensive/Defensive drills, lectures, 5 on 5 competition, 3 on 3 competition and individual competition. This will be a learning experience plus an enjoyable week of camp. Each player is responsible for bringing their own drink. NSDAR meeting scheduled
The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR will meet on Tuesday, May. 11 at 1:30 p.m. at the Culpeper United Methodist Church. The program will be on “Antique Needlework”.
Beauty pageant at Chester Gap
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a beauty pageant on May 22 at 6 p.m. at the Flint Hill fire hall. Categories will include: Wee-Miss 2-4; Tiny Miss 5-8; PreTeen 9-12; Junior Miss 13-15 and Miss 16-21. Kids ’ fishing day planned
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, the Town of Front Royal and the Northern Shenandoah Valley and Rapidan Chapters of Trout Unlimited, are cosponsoring Front Royal Kid’s Fishing Day on Saturday, May 8. This event will take place from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Happy Creek, adjacent to Bing Crosby Field from the staked low water bridge to the train trestle. Access is from the intersection of Commerce Street Route 522 and East 8th Street.
