The Woodville Lions need donated items for the Rappahannock Lion’s Club Auction which will be held at the Washington Fire hall May 15. Please call Henry B. Wood, 987-3301 for pickup.
A group of 43 people took a charter bus to Baltimore, Md. last weekend to attend the “Acquire the Fire” Christian Youth conference. They left Friday afternoon and returned Saturday night at midnight.
It was a life-changing event for all present. There were about 8,000 people in one place lifting hands and voices in worship to the Lord.
Some churches who sent youth and adults include Woodville Baptist, Reynolds Memorial Baptist, Hopewell Baptist and St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Those in attendance were Alpheus Atkins, Eva Atkins, Barry Ferguson, Dan Pomerhn, Lori Pomerhn, Denise Dodson, Theresa Light, Jeff Light, Taylor Light, Lauren Light, Tony Payne, Steven Von Fange, Jonathan Deal, James Orange, Jeffrey Payne, Dustin Gallimore, Becky Teel, Chrystal Corban, La Toya Porter, Holly Ferguson, Karie Von Fange and Bethany Conners.
