She was a long time member of the Bethel Baptist Church at Amissville, where she served as a Deaconess; Past President of The Pastor’s Aid Club; treasurer of the Building Fund and a member of the Women’s Progressive Club.
She is survived by a nephew and his wife, whom she raised and with whom she resided, Homer B. and Mattie Jackson of Amissville; two other nephews for whom she was a foster mother, John Martin and Robert Marshall; other nephews, Rev. Ray W. Jackson of Jeffersonton, Rev. Horace S. Jackson of Remington, George Dalton Tolbert II and Richard C. Tolbert, both of Washington, D.C. and George D. Jackson of Amissville.
