Wood. The luncheon will be at the Fauquier Springs Country Club and club members who have not made reservations should contact Lucia Kilby immediately.
The program for the April meeting of the club was a visit to the Long Mountain Nursery which is owned by Richard and Sandra Antony. A constant drizzle did not faze the ladies who donned rain gear and opened umbrellas to tour the grounds and follow the production steps involved in growing azaleas, from small cuttings to plants of salable size.
Mr. Antony proudly showed off his assembly line operation for potting year old plants, and club members participated by planting one azalea each which they kept as gifts from the nursery.
Before leaving there was a flurry of activity as club members bought other plants which were on display.
Hostesses for the day were Ruth Baumgardner, Carol Miller and Mary McChary.
