Teen escapes wreck without injury
A 16 year old juvenile escaped iryury when he crashed his 1994 Jeep on Route 628 near Route 641 in Flint Hill. The accident occurred on the evening of May 3.
According to State Police reports, the vehicle swerved off of the road while negotiating a curve, and overturned when the driver tried to compensate. Damage to the Jeep was estimated at $1000.
Speeding dump trucks
The Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office received two complaints about dump trucks speeding through Sperryville last week.
The first incident was reported on May 7 on U.S. 211, and the second was reported May 8 on Main Street. An investigation into the cause of the complaints is underway.
