RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY, VIRGINIA

PURSUANT to Section 170-129 of the Rappahannock County Code and Section 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals for Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 27, 1999 at seven-thirty in the evening in tne Courthouse in Washington, Virginia, in order to consider the following application:

SU *99-04-04 Dale H. Schustemnan, D.C., t/a Rappahannock Chiropractic Services, Ltd., prospective purchaser of 2.1500 acres in Hampton District (Tax Map 28, Parcel 56D, zoned Agricultural), desires to operate a chiropractic clinic between the hours of 8:30 am and 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:30 am until 1:00 pm one Saturday per month, with less than three persons employed. Use allowed under Section 170, Article 36(E) of the Rappahannock County Code; additional standards in Section 170, Article 66(E).

A COPY of the foregoing application is on file at the Zoning Office in Washington, Virginia, and is available for public inspection, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Said application will be presented to the Rappahannock County Planning Commission at their regular meeting on Wednesday, May 19, 1999 at seven-thirty in the evening at the Rappahannock County Courthouse for such recommendation as the Commission may wish to make pursuant to Section 170-55, if any. The above-named applicant, adjacent property owners, and any other parties desiring to be heard should be present at said meeting or should address their written comments to the Board of Zoning Appeals, c/o P.O. THE STATE WATER CONTROL LAW

The State Water Control Board has under consideration reissuance of the following Permit and State Certification:

The proposed reissuance consists of establishing limits for flow, BOD5, TSS, pH, dissolved oxygen, total residual chlorination and dechlorination. This proposed reissuance is tentative.

Proposed Effluent Limitations

The Department of Environmental Quality believes that the permit will protect water quality in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

On the basis of preliminary review and application of lawful standards and regulations, the State Water Control Board proposes to reissue the permit subject to certain conditions.

Persons may comment in writing to the Department of Environmental Quality, Northern Virginia Regional Office, on the proposed reissuance of the permit within thirty (30) days from the date of the first notice. Comments shall include the name, address, and telephone number of the writer, and shall contain a complete, concise statement of the factual basis for the comments. Only those comments received within this period will be considered. The Deputy Director of the Department of the Department of Environmental Quality may decide to hold a public hearing if public response is significant. Requests for public hearings shall state the reason why a hearing is requested, the nature of the issues proposed to be raised in the public hearing and a brief explanation of how the requester's interests would be directly and adversely affected by the proposed permit action.
