Nuno came to help my mom every time she had a baby. While watching the baby sleep, she would fall asleep as well. She looked so angelic, and her wings shined brightly. I can recall my dad driving my mom and the new baby home from the hospital, and directly after he would pick up Nuno. She was always there to support my parents, and I know they really appreciated it.
Nuno was the most caring and warm person one could ever meet. She gave affection to any and everyone she confronted. She respected all people for what they are. For all of those reasons and more is why I love and cherish the memory of my phenomenal grandmother, Nuno!
These past family gatherings have been quite different without Nuno. As my family and I go through the gigantic crowd of relatives, a part of me thinks, “Where’s Nuno? Where is the person who keeps our family dinners from being is disarray? Where is that amazing woman?”
I then have to remind myself that Nuno is up in heaven with all of the other angels, where she has always belonged!
