Interspersed throughout the program will be ramblings on the relationship of geography, the environment, and the arts by George Thompson, founder and president of the Center for American Places and author and editor of numerous acclaimed books including Landscape in America.

Following the dance performance and discussion will be a reception and book display featuring awardwinning books in photography, history, nature writing, and geography published under the auspices of the Center. Books will be availably for review and sale.

Admission is $8 by prepaid reservation only since seating is limited. Call 540-987-9234 to reserve. Admission also entitled participants to a ten percent discount on all book sales which benefit the publishing program of the Center for American Places.

Workspace for Choreographers is a private foundation whose purpose is to provide a residential facility where choreographers can experiment with new ideas. In addition to artist residencies the Workspace offers ongoing schedule of classes and performances.
