Mark Novak and Renee Brachfeld skillfully weave their talents, creating a performance which is rooted in the powerful , tradition of storytelling. They have received rave reviews from audiences across the United States at festivals, community events, schools, synagogues and churches. Their first tape, “King Solomon’s Daughter” won the 1996 Parent’s Choice Gold Award for excellence in children’s resources.

Mark Novak is a cantor and musician who brings with him 30 years of professional theatre experience. As a cantor, Mark has served Washington area congregations for the past 10 years.

From 1977 to 1986, Mark was the music director of the Living Stage Theatre Company of Washington D.C.’s Arena Stage. He has presented his original works at such varied sites as the Smithsonian Institute’s Discovery Theatre, The Wolf Trap Center for the Performing Arts, and The Air and Space Museum. His work has also appeared in Shofar Magazine.
