• In Mrs. Knight’s fifth grade English class recently, students were given the following challenge as a creative writing assignment: Write an entry for World Book Encyclopedia, Circa 2038 - describing your contributions to society. Why don’t you step into the future and read these, fascinating essays that describe a wide range oft accomplishments from the* first woman president to a famous entomologist.
• Congratulations to both the Lacrosse team and the Soccer team for being victorious this past week. Lacrosse had a great week winning both of their games: 8-4 against Randolph Mason Academy and 8-1 against Highland/Wakefield.
• The Soccer team won 3-1 against Hearth with Brittany Hammelman making two goals and Caroline Lalonde scoring one. Way to go, WCDS!
• Many students were recognized for their beautiful artwork recently at the annual WCDS Art Show, The award for “ Best in Show” went to senior, Jake Konickr Congratulations to all stu* dents who participated in our Art Show! 1
