It never ceases to amaze me that the outsiders coming in from cities and various places want to take control. This trend is what causes small towns and rural areas to become exactly what many of these people have left behind them.
Rappahannock County has a rjch history of down to earth people, common sense people and has produced doctors, lawyers and journalist to mention a few.
Finally I would like to mention for history purposes that in the 50’s before womens’ liberation, the town of Washington had a woman mayor and all woman council who made a spot on national television on a program called the $64,000 Question and was successful in her answers therefore leaving with substantial cash winnings.
As for tax revenues, if they are not satisfactory, most intelligent would look elsewhere.
