National Law Enforcement week, a
time to thank those who protect us. f j ^his is National Law Enforcement Week, the time of year when law enforcement officers are recognized for the job they do to protect and serve the public. Many people take for granted what these men and women do for us. And in quiet Rappahannock County, it may seem sometimes that our Sheriff’s Deputies and the State Troopers that patrol the county don’t have a very dangerous job. But no matter where you live, our law enforcement officers are willing to put their lives on the line, if the need be to protect us and provide public safety. That’s the job they’ve chosen to do. Think about it. Anytime an officer arrests someone, even here, it can be dangerous. And violence can strike anywhere, anytime. We salute the members of the Rappahannock Sheriff’s Department and the Virginia State Police, especially this week, for the job they do.
