F. Preston Pulliam of Warrenton was nominated as the Republican candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates on Saturday at the Republican Convention of the 28th District held Saturday at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. Mr. Pulliam, 47, is a native of Rappahannock, bom at Woodville. He has had a long and successful career in the insurance business and also served a four year tour of duty with the U.S. Marine Corps. The Spring Camporee of Shenrapawa District Boy Scouts of America will be held this weekend in Rappahannock County at the farm of Tom Eastham in Flint Hill. Governor Mills E. Godwin Jr. accompanied by 85 Virginians departed Monday from Dulles International Airport for Brussels, Belgium to officially open the new European offices of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Among those accompanying Governor and Mrs. Godwin were Mr. and Mrs. Witold Kuncewicz of Flint Hill. The senior class of Rappahannock County High School will spend Friday and Saturday in Williamsburg.
