Miss Mary Mills was entertained with a birthday party, by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Mills on Saturday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peregory, Joseph and Jennifer, and Johnny Bragg and children, Kellie, Karla, Matthew and Mark were Sunday luncheon guests of Mr. and Bill Peregory in Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. Shelvy Frazier were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Burke in Rochelle. Mrs. Burke is home and improving following appendix surgery.

The Salem Fire Hall was the setting for a party on Saturday afternoon, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Luther Stanley on their 50th wedding anniversary.

As we travel through our Boston area we cannot refrain from giving thanks to all the hard working people who give of their time to help clean up the highway; so when you see the orange bags sitting along the roadside, continue to say thanks.

Belated birthday wishes go out to Jim Peyton, who added another year on Monday.

Saturday is World Red Cross Day and as we remember this day, lets not hesitate to give thanks for all they do.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peregory and family of Castleton Ford hosted a party with a cookout on Mother’s Day. Chef Peregory did an excellent job on the grill.
