In celebration of National
Emergency Medical Services Week’s 25 anniversary, I would like to encourage all citizens of the Commonwealth to join with me in recognizing EMS providers in their community.
These providers, on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week, volunteer or career, are truly meeting the challenge by saving lives.
From First Responder to Paramedic, each provider spends hundreds of hours in classes taking specialized training. They also spend many more hours cleaning and stocking their ambulances and maintaining their stations. And, as with police officers and firefighters, they sometimes make the ultimate sacrifice by
